Harvard Neighbors offered two calligraphy classes in recent years that became instant hits among our members! We’re excited to announce that Kitty Pechet, one of Art Explorations Interest Group’s Leaders and a renowned local artist, has generously offered her time to lead a new Calligraphy Workshop: Adventures into Gothic Script and Illuminations.
Workshop Details:
- Start Date: Wednesday, October 9
- Time: 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm
- Duration: Six weeks
- Location: Neighbors’ Meeting Room, 17 Quincy Street, Cambridge
In this workshop, Kitty will guide you through creating stunning 14th-century Gothic letters and easy techniques to illuminate your pages. You will practice using a broad-nibbed pen and have the opportunity to design and decorate your pieces.

- Cost: Free, but there will be a materials fee
- Capacity: Limited to 15 participants
- Refreshments: Light refreshments will be offered
