Purvang Patel is the Executive Director of the Harvard College Observatory (HCO) at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian. The HCO serves as the research hub for Harvard’s Department of Astronomy and plays a central role in advancing astrophysical research in collaboration with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory at the Center for Astrophysics (CfA) in Cambridge, MA.
Purvang brings a wealth of experience from leadership roles across Harvard University and Brown University, with a background spanning grants management, finance, operations, research strategy, and academic innovation in science-focused environments.
