Ann Rand Eldridge
Group Leader - French Book Group

I was born in Manhattan and came to Cambridge as a freshman at Radcliffe in 1953. I then lived here for a total of eight years as an undergraduate, graduate student at HGSE, young wife and mother. After living for more than 30 years in upstate New York, I returned to Cambridge in 2002 when I married Bob Neer, a Harvard classmate and longtime friend after we were both widowed. I joined the French Book Group shortly after that, and became its leader in 2016 [this is a guess-I really don’t remember when!]. Professionally, I was a French teacher/professor and later a manager in the New York State Education Department. I’m an avid gardener and a political junkie; my husband and I love to travel to places both near and far. My husband, Dr. Robert Neer, is a retired Professor at Harvard Medical School. I also have an AB and an MAT from Harvard.
