Jean H. Leventhal
Group Leader - English Conversation
Retired, FAS Staff
I am originally from New York City and came to Harvard in 1959 as a first-year student at Radcliffe College, then the women’s college at Harvard. I have never really been away for long. I have taught music to small children, German Language and Literature at Wellesley College, and worked in the undergraduate program at Harvard. I have lived abroad in Germany and the UK, so I am delighted to welcome people from other countries who come to Harvard, by leading a section of English Conversation. In my free time I enjoy cooking and baking bread, hiking, reading, singing in the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus, and doing word puzzles of all kinds.
